Nice MNF WWF fix
15 Oct 13:46
It is avearged. I havent gone through the ones on the board currently but everything processed it good so far
14 Oct 11:05
Average would make sense.. I didn’t think about that or look how we did it before.. I just went with each year on the contract but can change
14 Oct 10:14
Multiple teams are using different methods so not singling anyone out (it's also not spelled out in constitution either case, I just remember from last yr)
14 Oct 07:32
We don't want to have different type of cap hits for different teams lol
14 Oct 07:31
@kylerap you may want to clarify unsigned cap hits for NP league... Some teams are posting different cap hits for the same player (for ex 2019 5m, 2020, 3m etc). while others are using the total average. I believe we use average salary left applied to each year the same.

@Goldie , deal me Thybille... And @Forbz23 pm Coming hot for trade talks...

Week 7 supposed to be OAK v CAR and SEA v ATL. Change made. Glad you noticed that.
09 Oct 06:07
@Laimbeer40 question, how come I play Atlanta in week 7 and week 8?
08 Oct 23:55
Not even sure who is on the committee anymore lol. Please feel free to vote WilliamX
06 Oct 21:32
Can anyone vote L? I thought it was a committee
06 Oct 20:44
5th yr option and franchise tags come with big pay raises. Not sure a notoriously cheap franchise is going to pay a RB like that when the potential replacement is already on the roster.
06 Oct 15:06
Dont want to flood the thread, but doesnt SD still have a 5th year option on gordon and 3 franchise tags? So basically control for the next 5 years?
06 Oct 14:26
QFL people bugging me to process transactions... let's see you putting some votes on these trades.
06 Oct 05:11
thanks. Thats the way i was leaning. Vikings have some great matchups coming so hopefully Thielen's call out will get a boost to the passing game.
03 Oct 05:38

Pittsburgh/ San Francisco Deal
Giants send
Gleyber Torres,  2B/SS 600k (2021)
Luis Perdomo, P, 600k (2020)
Jeurys Familia , P, 4.0m (2022)

Pirates send
Jose Ramirez, 3B, 4.0m (2021)
Eduardo Rodriguez,  P, 4.0m (2022)
Nate Lowe, 1B, p-n/a

Move arguably our best trade chip in the young stud Gleyber to land a needed 3b eligible piece now with Baez losing his eligibility there. Upgrade our rotation a bit here also while losing some holds guys etc as well.
May regret dealing a potential 40 HR bat up the middle at the young age of 22 with 600k control but have to solve our 3b issues thus make the move.

Always tough making deals with fellow NL perennial playoff teams but deal fits both our needs very well moving forward
Thanks for the easy back and forth talks and agreement.

Pit to confirm

Confirm.  Giving up a lot to get, as JMac put it, a young stud.  Jose Ramirez has been one of the best contracts in this league, but had a sub-par 1st half for him this season before picking it back up just before he got injured, which occurred just in time for the BTL playoffs.  After some solid seasons, he's been a little inconsistent in the last year, which concerned me.

Eduardo has shown signs of hitting his potential.  His post all-star break ERA below 3.00 made it difficult to deal him, but this is what it takes to get someone like Torres.

I've had many inquires about Nate Lowe, who had a solid season in the majors, even tho he was up and down from the minors some.  I've always thought of him as my 1st baseman of the future.  I believe he was platooned a lot this season, but he has plenty of time to work that out.

With Torres being the star attraction, I had to take back some lesser pieces plus take back some salary.  Hence, Perdomo and Familia coming my way.  Here's to Familia returning to his old self.

Thanks to JMac for the easy back and forth and agreement.

Not liking it for Pirates (ed-rod ranked top 20 last year (in NP)) -Not just showing signs mate...He's achieving it.

And this deal severely undervalues Lowe. But your players, your choice.

But I'm not one of the members of BTL who is in favor of Vetoes in general (collusion=not gonna happen and those votes occur too much here), So I approve.

Actually, nevermind... gonna abstain 'till I hear others Points of view... I don't like protecting owners, even though I don't understand other trades of Alan. But could just be that he's new, so a bias that may be undeserved -who knows...?

The reason why William the Wrecking Ball does not understand some of my trades is because he never takes into consideration salaries, i.e. who is gaining salary cap and how much.

And this board is for approving or disapproving. No one should be able to post here to just give an opinion without approving or disapproving like William the Wrecking Ball just did.
BTL- Pit, NP- KC

Disapprove for the reasons above: New member, Nate lowe underappreciation, Ed-Rod not valued right.

Just want to add that this trade probably goes with the narrative of Jose Ramirez overall trade value with his very odd 1st half to 2019... I personally just value him more than any player in the league (Aside from Trout), even now. So if it's a question of what Alan could get from all of the other members except me, maybe this is the high mark (of return value)?  Which is why I didn't want to approve - my valuation is a trade that's gonna look bad in a year. But otoh, most probably would and if they regard JoseRam as lesser, SHOULD approve it - lol.

Your odd namecalling notwithstanding, I should have voted - That piece was my fault.

Apparently this doesn't apply to yourself.

I do agree JMAC wins as usual, but not a veto, Approve
BTL Angels - NP Ray - QFL Jaguars -  NFLC  Packers -  LOR2  Lakers - FCP Nuggets

I feel compelled to veto this.  Torres is a generational talent, but Ramirez has been sensational himself and Rodriguez is a high quality SP.  Lowe, even if I regard him highly, is not a centerpiece of this deal.  The contracts on Ramirez/Rodriguez are not high enough for them to play into the conversation, and they are low contracts for multiple years, as well.

It's one thing to win a trade, but I believe this one is beyond unbalanced.  Sorry, I don't veto often, but I believe it to be too much of a one-sided deal.
(But a REAL Cubs fan bleedin' Cubbie blue through and through!)
